Q&A with Pete Jacobs: Ironman World Champion 2012

August 15, 2020 by Wikiwiki

In 2012, Australian triathlete Pete Jacobs achieved his 10 year dream of winning the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii. His ‘less is more’ approach had also helped him place 2nd in 2011 and gave him the 3rd fastest marathon in the races’ history in 2010, at 2:41:05. Pete joined us from Australia to answer your questions and a few of ours (not in Australia FYI).

We talk to Pete about Kona, training and racing nutrition, fat fuelled vs carbohydrate fuelled athletes, meat based or plant based eating and race day nutrition, fuelling and hydration.
